Still pretty new to Linux and this issue has followed me across multiple distros.

Sometimes after suspend, the PC never wakes back up. Fans, RGB and motherboard lights stay on, but no display or response until I force shutdown with the power button.

The same thing also happens with hibernation.

Tried both KDE and GNOME and still get the same problem.

Anyone with similar hardware found a solution?

Specs:

• CachyOS

• ASUS TUF GAMING B460-PLUS

• i5-10400

• 16 GB RAM

• RX 7600

• Kernel 7.0.3-1-cachyos

Sounds a lot like this:

On some motherboards with A520i and B550i chipsets, the system will not completely enter the sleep state or come out of it. Symptoms include the system entering sleep and the monitor turning off while internal LEDs on the motherboard or the power LED stay on. Maybe B460-PLUS motherboards are also affected.
