It may be said that changing DNS was always available using NetworkManager’s interface or systemd-resolved with a file, ex; /etc/systemd/resolved.conf.d/dns.conf [Resolve] DNS=x-hagezi-pro.freedns.controld.com#x-hagezi-pro.freedns.controld.com Domains=~. And it may also be noted that it is still somewhat unclear whether using this block utility on top of systemd-resolved (as they both cache DNS) is actually a net positive and not redundant latency.
