Hope this isn’t a repost, tried to search but have found very little on the issue. I’ve had CachyOS for about a half year now and have been really liking it so far. However there’s been one problem lately. Under any theme and seemingly any settings, I get these weird artifacts on the laptop’s built in display only. I remember a while back I had the same issue on EndeavorOS but it eventually went away, I haven’t been able to record the issue since, but it appears to be the same issue and at the very least I can say that recording software can detect it. It’s a bit of a tricky issue, it seems to come and go as it pleases.
I remember being able to record the issue on x11, but now that I am on Wayland it seems that’s no longer possible. Some apps cause it more than others, like it happens a lot in IntelliJ or games but more subtly in Firefox.
This issue is probably OS specific as I’ve never seen it in the BIOS, on any loading screens pre-boot and never on Windows. I’m fairly convinced this is a software. Hoping a fellow Framework owner can help me out here. I should also note I use KDE plasma, minimal install. I started off with Cinnamon and installed Plasma later. Let me know if I need to share anything else. My laptop is built with an AMD Ryzen 7840 HS and Radeon 7700 S GPU.
