When I click on PiP mode on a video, I always have to manually right click on it and set “Always in foreground”. Is there a way to set that by default? (KDE Plasma)
Also, unlike Windows, it still doesn’t show in the foreground in borderless fullscreen games. Is it possible to behave the same way as Windows?
How can I keep the picture-in-picture window always on top?
After opening the tab, drag the application upwards and then scroll down to the bottom right corner to select the pin icon. Finally, click the tab you opened with the pin cursor, and it will always be displayed on top.

It’s a Wayland limitation. PiP works as intended out of the box in X11.
KDE does have tools to make behave better though.
Open a PiP window. Click on it. AltF3.
More Actions → Configure Special Window Settings.
Most of it should already be set up to match that exact kind of window.
You need to click “Add Property…” to add and configure the bottom three:
The last one is what allows it to appear above games.
You might want to also change the description as I did.
Hit Apply/OK. You might need to close and reopen the PiP window to fully apply the settings.
From now on, these rules will apply automatically to all windows matching the conditions.
You can also find this in System Settings, search for “Window Rules”. But going the Alt-F3 route sets up the matching conditions for you, the first time around.
