I’d like to plug a project of mine here: atrium - an open-source Wayland display manager with first-class multiseat support. It’s in its early stages, but the core functionality is fully there at this point. See the README for more information. Wayland multiseat works quite well on every level of the system stack except for the display manager. Historically, almost every display manager seems to have neglected multiseat. Hence the motivation for this project. So far I tested atrium on CachyOS and Ubuntu, with KDE, Gnome, Sway and Cosmic and I’ve been using it as a daily driver for some time. If you’d like to try it out, I’d be happy about any feedback!
