From Abstract to Mascot: Why the CachyOS logo is actually...

Body: Hi CachyOS Community, I’ve been using CachyOS for a while now, and I’ve always found the radiating lines of our logo to be quite unique. Recently, while staring at the logo on my 4K monitor, I had a “eureka” moment: The CachyOS logo is essentially a hedgehog curled up in a high-speed sprint. I decided to flesh out this idea as a “throwing a brick to attract jade” proposal. I call him “Chog” (Cachy + Hedgehog). The Logic Behind the Design: The Spikes (v3/v4): In the Linux world, a hedgehog’s spikes are the perfect metaphor for our x86-64-v3/v4 optimization patches. They are sharp, specialized, and provide a “performance barrier” against lag and bloat. The Core: The circular form honors the original logo, representing the “Arch soul” protected within a shell of hardcore optimizations. The Personality: Unlike Ubuntu’s “all-eating” raccoon, a hedgehog is focused and specialized. It’s friendly to the user but “sharp” towards hardware bottlenecks. Visual Concept: In this concept, I’ve integrated the v3/v4 labels directly onto the spikes and kept the iconic blue-green gradient. The “lightning bolt” eye represents the lightning-fast responsiveness of the Sched-ext and custom kernels. Why a Mascot? I believe a mascot like this could: Give the community a more relatable and “friendly” identity. Make for some amazing fastfetch ASCII art or custom cachyos-hello themes. Stand out in the “minimalist” sea of other distros with a personality that screams “Performance.” I’m curious to hear what the developers and the community think! Is it time for CachyOS to have its own “Cyber-Spike”? Best regards
