I just updated my system after a long time (around 800 packages). I didn’t see what packages I was updating because there were so many of them, so I just updated them all. After reboot, I logged into hyprland and things seemed a bit weird, then I assumed it must be because of the new hyprland update. So I switched to GNOME and things didn’t change. The main problem is that some fonts, images, etc. look blurred or noised. For example my wallpaper is noised, my image/video file thumbnails in nautilus (but not in dolphin) are the same, the images when I open them in loupe appear the same. Also, I use ‘awww’ for wallpaper with hyprland and that is working fine. Fonts on websites also appear like that. Some other elements like icons also appear that way and certain mouse icons too. They are not static, they are constantly changing from one noise to other, for example, if I select the text, it vanishes (sometimes). What could be the possible underlying issue(s)? I couldn’t upload more than one image, so I uploaded a collage.
