DUBLIN-BASED BAND SODA Blonde have appealed for the public’s help after a number of guitars and pieces of music equipment were stolen from a lock-up on Drury Street in Dublin.
In posts shared on Instagram, the band said the stolen items include a 1984 rosewood Fender Telecaster, a metallic blue Gretsch Electromatic guitar, a Roland SPD-X electronic percussion pad in a flight case, and two pedal boards.
Lead singer Faye O’Rourke described the theft as “devastating”, saying some of the equipment holds significant sentimental value for the band.
Among the items stolen was guitarist Adam O’Regan’s rosewood Telecaster, which the group said is “like a family member to him”.
“We’ve had a bunch of our equipment, guitars and stuff stolen,” O’Rourke said in a video message.
She urged anyone who spots the equipment being offered for sale online or through second-hand marketplaces to get in touch.

“If you know of any kind of marketplace that these things might pop up on, or if you come across any of it, we’d be so grateful for any information,” O’Rourke said.
The band said they would be grateful for “any and all help” in tracing the missing gear.
Soda Blonde are due to play the National Concert Hall on 17 July and All Together Now in Co Waterford before embarking on a 21-date tour of the US and Canada.
