A TEENAGE BOY has died after cycling into a parked lorry in Lismore, Co Waterford.
Gardaí say the boy was cycling a bike when he hit the lorry on the N72 in Ballygalane shortly after 11am today.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
The road has since reopened after closing earlier for technical examination.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.
They have also appealed for road users who may have dash-cam footage of the road between Lismore and Cappoquin between 10.30am and 11.15am to make it available.
