MET ÉIREANN HAS issued a Status Yellow high temperature warning for Ireland from Tuesday until Friday.
The national forecaster has warned that temperatures may exceed 27 degrees, while nighttime temperatures of above 15 degrees are expected.
The weather may bring about heat stress, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and water safety issues due to the increased use of lakes and beaches.
The warning comes into effect from 12pm Tuesday and expires at 9am on Friday.
