LOTTIE RYAN HAS been announced as the new co-host on Virgin Media’s The Six O’Clock Show.
She will leave RTÉ after more than 15 years to take up the job at Virgin Media in the Autumn.
Brian Dowling Gourounlian will stay in his role, co-hosting alongside Ryan.
Ryan takes over from Katja Mia, who has hosted the show since 2022, but left in April to join RTÉ 2FM’s afternoon schedule with Laura Fox.
Ryan said she’s always loved The Six O’Clock Show, having been a guest before.
“It feels really special to now be a part of the team,” she said.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started, working alongside Brian and the brilliant crew behind the scenes, and I can’t wait for viewers to see what we have in store. There’s plenty of fun ahead.”
She is the daughter of late veteran broadcaster Gerry Ryan.
During her time with the national broadcaster, Lottie Ryan worked across radio and podcasting. She also appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2020, which she won.
In a statement, Dan Healy, the head of RTÉ 2FM, said: “Lottie has been a huge part of 2FM, talented, versatile, resilient and most importantly a lovely person.
“She has one of the great surnames in Irish broadcasting history but leaves 2FM simply known as Lottie. That is all you need to know about how well she has carried herself professionally and personally.”
