Galway and Limerick can now sit back and relax with their places in the All-Ireland semi-finals already secured but for Dublin and Cork – the two provincial runners-up – they have plenty more to do before they can join them.
For Dublin following their heavy defeat at Croke Park on Saturday, Clare now await them in the quarter-finals.
As for Cork following their narrow loss at Páirc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday, it’s a meeting with Offaly in the last eight.
The two quarter-finals will be played across the weekend of June 20 and 21 with official dates, venues, throw-in times and TV, or streaming, details to be confirmed in due course.
Limerick will then face the winners of Clare vs Dublin and that has already been set for Sunday, July 5 at Croke Park while Galway will take on either Cork or Offaly at Croke Park on Saturday, July 4.
Although if Offaly were to upset the odds and defeat the Rebels, along with Clare seeing off Dublin, then the semi finals would have to see Galway face Clare and Limerick face Offaly.
The All-Ireland hurling final will be played on Sunday July 19 at Croke Park, the same day as the World Cup final in New Jersey.
