Gardaí are seeking information after headstones were damaged and defaced during a break-in at a workshop in West Limerick

Gardaí are investigating after headstones in West Limerick were defaced and smashed.
The incident of criminal damage occurred at a workshop in the Tournafulla area near Abbeyfeale.
The owner of the workshop found headstones being worked on had been spray-painted, while sections of stone monuments were smashed using tools stored on site.
The incident occurred between May 10 and 11.
Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, crime prevention officer at Henry Street Garda Station, has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
"The owner of the workshop arrived at the premises to discover that a roller door on a workshop shed had been opened and interfered with,” said Sergeant O’Halloran on local radio Live95.
She explained the perpetrators used items stored inside the workshop to carry out the vandalism.
Gardaí have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Tournafulla area on May 10 or 11 to contact Abbeyfeale Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
