Are You in the Cyber Twilight Zone? Find Out at RSA Conference 2026
About Eric Herzog · 2026-02-26 · via Infinidat - Enterprise Data & Cloud Storage Solutions

In the cyber world, things do feel surreal. The average enterprise is suffering over 2,000 cyberattacks per week, which is incredible. Cybersecurity has become a hyper-critical issue. It’s the top concerns of not only CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs, but also CEOs, CFOs and Boards of Directors at enterprises across the world. Cyber threats are not going away; they are only increasing. However, many enterprises are still hovering in an ambiguous realm − a cyber “twilight zone” − between air-tight, high-end cyber storage resilience and traditional cybersecurity or incomplete cybersecurity for securing their data infrastructure.

It’s easy to feel like you are trapped in a cyber twilight zone where insufficient levels of enterprise cyber storage resilience and cyber storage recovery persist and seem perfectly “normal” – all the while, cyber threats become more sophisticated, more ominous, more numerous, and more damaging.

When you stop and think about whether you can recover your enterprise’s data within minutes – not days or weeks, but minutes – or whether you can isolate your known good copy of data and guarantee that it is corruption-free, or whether you can improve the use of security alerts to trigger immutable snapshots more proactively, you find yourself in a moment of clarity.

You are left alone with a question that exposes the cyber twilight zone around you that is trying to “normalize” insufficient levels of enterprise cyber storage resilience: In the face of the tsunami of cyberattacks that constantly grows exponentially year after year, what are you going to do differently about enterprise storage in 2026 to mitigate and neutralize cyberattacks?

Don’t Assume You Need to Stay in the Cyber Twilight Zone

It’s critical that enterprises better protect their data. This is a given. But the assumptions that have allowed the cyber twilight zone to infiltrate so many enterprises include such things as:

  1. Backup is enough
  2. It should take days or weeks to restore data
  3. It’s okay and “normal” that Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and datacenter-wide cybersecurity applications (SIEM and SOAR) are not integrated with enterprise cyber storage
  4. Cybercriminals are not targeting backup systems
  5. Cyber detection does not need to be integrated into primary storage
  6. Yes, expect to pay the ransom to get your data back after ransomware and malware attacks

That's the signpost up ahead—your next stop, the Cyber Twilight Zone!

However, there is hope to escape the ambiguity between cybersecurity and enterprise storage infrastructure.

At the RSA Conference 2026 in San Francisco, March 23-26, next-generation data protection solutions that significantly boost enterprise cyber storage resilience and dramatically reduce cyber storage recovery will be presented as your path to break free from the cyber twilight zone. The time is upon us. The place is the RSA conference 2025.

Infinidat will be showcasing our award-winning InfiniSafe® solution that is built into our InfuzeOS™ operating system. InfiniSafe provides comprehensive enterprise cyber resilience and cyber storage recovery for large systems.

twilight zone

With our next-generation data protection, powered by industry acclaimed InfiniSafe, your company will be able to side-step cyber threats and avoid the huge cost of cyberattacks. This is why it’s in your best interest to visit Infinidat’s booth N4301 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco during the upcoming RSA conference at the end of March.

New Dimensions: Guaranteed Cyber Storage Resilience

Over the past 24 months, Infinidat has become synonymous with guaranteed enterprise cyber resilient storage, significantly elevating the role of cyber resilience in enterprise data infrastructure and advancing a cyber-oriented, recovery-first approach that epitomizes resilience in an AI-powered, digital world.

Infinidat has been the leader in enterprise cyber storage resilience for several years and continues to in 2026, driving innovation that is transforming how enterprises secure their storage infrastructure and make cyber resilient storage an essential part of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.

The cyber resilience capabilities of our InfiniSafe technology substantially improve the ability of an enterprise to combat and protect against ever-increasing cyberattacks and data breaches by uniquely combining:

  • Immutable snapshots
  • Logical air gapping (locally, remotely, or both)
  • Fenced/isolated forensic networks
  • Automated cyber protection
  • Cyber detection (built into primary storage)
  • Guaranteed nearly instantaneous data recovery into a single, high-performance platform

These dimensions of cyber storage resilience and cyber storage recovery have already been proven time-and-time-again by Fortune 500 global enterprises.

Infinidat guarantees that a customer’s snapshots are fully immutable, and the recovery time (RTO) is one minute or less on Infinidat’s InfiniBox® primary storage solutions, regardless of dataset size, and 20 minutes or less on Infinidat’s purpose-built-backup appliance, InfiniGuard®, that works with all major backup vendors, regardless of dataset size.

In a cyber and next-generation data protection webinar, Infinidat recovered a 2PB dataset on an InfiniBox of primary storage in only 4 seconds and recovered a 25.5PB Veeam backup repository (but that could have been any of Infinidat’s backup partners’ software) in only 12 minutes.

Goodbye, Cyber Twilight Zone!

It’s reality that cyberattacks have evolved to increasingly target enterprise storage infrastructure. Recognizing this reality, IT leaders have identified this ability to automate data snapshot commands and data pathways as critical to early detection and worry-free cyber recovery that minimizes the effects of even the most vicious and deceptive cyberattacks of malicious actors. This is where Infinidat comes in.

Infinidat has pioneered cyber storage resilience because we unlock the full potential of an enterprise’s security posture and maximizes the investments that an enterprise has made in protecting the business. Infinidat has developed a string of cybersecurity capabilities that strengthen enterprise storage. Indeed, the expansion of InfiniSafe has given enterprises advanced cyber storage detection and rapid recovery capabilities.

Our InfiniSafe Automated Cyber Protection (ACP) is a first-of-its kind enterprise storage cybersecurity integration that reduces an enterprise’s cyberattack threat window. InfiniSafe ACP enables enterprises to seamlessly integrate Infinidat enterprise storage with their SOC, SIEM and SOAR cybersecurity software, and, for less complex environments, simple syslog functions. A security-related incident or event triggers immediate automated immutable snapshots of data, providing the ability to protect InfiniBox and InfiniBox SSA block-based volumes and/or file systems and ensure near-instantaneous cyber recovery.

Our InfiniSafe Cyber Detection, part of our InfiniBox family of cyber resilient enterprise storage platforms, leverages AI and ML-based technology to identify potential cyber intrusions on the storage and to ensure that the recovered data is corruption-free. It provides highly intelligent deep scanning and indexing needed to identify potential issues. InfiniSafe Cyber Detection inspects the full breadth of files, applications, core storage infrastructure (such as volumes), and databases for signs of cyber threats for primary storage environments.

Only in the cyber twilight zone do enterprises unknowingly recover and restore data that is compromised and still contains ransomware or malware within it. As the Twilight Zone originator of the classic TV series would say, “What better mixes the known with the unknown.”

Our InfiniSafe solution for cyber resilient and cyber recovery storage solutions reveals the “unknown” and leads you very smartly out of the cyber twilight zone with a known good copy of data.
