New: Delete attachments directly from emails & photo gallery

Dear Posteo customers,

Starting today, we will gradually be rolling out a new feature: Email attachments will now be displayed in a new, fresh design at Posteo. We have also improved the functionality. Attachments can now be directly deleted from the respective email without needing to open the attachment browser. It will take a few days for this feature to be made available for all mailboxes. Please be patient if the display of attachments has not yet changed for you.

Convenient interface with photo gallery

Attached photos and files will now be displayed on the right next to email text. They are sorted by file type. We have also added a photo gallery. By clicking on a photo, you can switch to the gallery view to look at photos in a larger format.

Delete attachments directly from emails

Attached files and photos can now also be conveniently downloaded and deleted directly from the email. This makes it even easier to keep your mailbox tidy in everyday situations and reduce used storage space.

If an attachment is deleted from an email, the email will automatically have a note regarding the deletion added to it. It includes the name of the deleted file as well as the date of deletion. This way, you can always tell if an email originally contained an attachment.

The attachment viewer next to the email body can be collapsed by clicking on the small arrow as needed.

Further improvements to the webmail interface, such as an optional 3-panel view and an additional design refresh, are in the works.
