Blake Krass shares his top fantasy baseball Pick6 picks and plays for the Saturday MLB slate. Check ’em out here!
The MLB season is heating up. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Baseball!
Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.

Ian Happ should be in for a big game against the Diamondbacks on Saturday afternoon. Happ and the Cubs will be facing Ryne Nelson to start. Nelson has had a dreadful season so far. He has a 7.71 ERA to his name through six starts. Over his last two starts, he has given up a combined 14 earned runs. The Cubs’ lineup shoud hit Nelson hard as well, especially Happ. In his career against Nelson, Happ is 3-for-7 with a double and a home run.
Happ has an .840 OPS against right-handers this season. He has also been brilliant at Wrigley Field, with a home OPS of .947 this season. Happ should have a big game and help generate some runs. Against Ryne Nelson, who has struggled so massively as of late, the Cubs should score a few runs as a team. Happ has scored a run in three of his past four games and should keep that going today.

It has been a nightmare season for the New York Mets. There is just about one thing worth watching as a Mets fan in 2026, and that is Nolan McLean. McLean made his MLB debut last year and showed signs of greatness. That led to McLean playing a big role in the World Baseball Classic for Team USA during the offseason. McLean entered this season with high expectations for what is his true rookie year. So far, he has met and exceeded those expectations. McLean has a 2.55 ERA through six starts and has yet to give up more than three earned runs in a start.
His strikeout numbers have also been off the charts, averaging 11.5 K/9. That is the third-best mark in baseball among qualified pitchers. McLean should keep delivering those strikeouts in tonight’s game against the Angels. The Angels have been by far the worst lineup in baseball when it comes to strikeouts. The Angels have 328 strikeouts in 33 games, an average of 9.9 strikeouts per game. The next-worst team is averaging just 9.4 strikeouts per game. Nolan McLean has struck out at least eight batters in four of his six starts this season and he should keep that going against this Angels lineup.

Brent Rooker had a tough start to his season. He was ice cold at the plate and then missed time on the IL. There is a chance Rooker was never fully healthy to start the year because of how poorly he was hitting the ball. He has looked much better at the plate since returning from the IL. Last night, Rooker had a get-right game in the series opener against the Guardians. He had two hits, including a home run. Rooker ended up driving in three runs.
Rooker should be feeling confident at the plate after that performance, especially against Slade Cecconi. Cecconi has had a horrific season, sporting a 6.23 ERA. The Guardians have lost all six of Cecconi’s starts this season. Rooker has also crushed Cecconi in the past. He is 4-for-9 with a triple and a home run in his career against the Guardians’ right-hander. Rooker should ride the momentum from last night and record another extra-base hit in this game.
Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
