Alex Hunter details his top Jalen Duren player prop for Tuesday’s NBA playoff game between the Pistons and Cavaliers.
The Pistons are hosting the Cavaliers for Game 1 of this second-round series Tuesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Detroit is favored by 3.5 points and this game carries a total of 215.5 points.
Let’s dive into my favorite Jalen Duren player prop for Tuesday’s contest.
The Pistons won the last three games of their first-round series vs. the Magic to advance and Duren scored at least two points in the first three minutes of each of these victories. Duren next faces the Cavaliers in the second round, who he averaged 21.7 PPG against in three matchups in the regular season.
Duren scored at least two points in the first three minutes of two of these three matchups vs. Cleveland. In that lone outlier, Duren missed one of his two free throws in the first three minutes, so he was very close to cashing this early game prop.
Duren should have a better series vs. the Cavaliers than he did vs. the Magic – Cleveland ranks 10th in defensive rating this postseason, compared to the Magic at sixth – and the big man should get on the board quickly in Game 1 tonight. This season, Duren is leading the Pistons with 2.0 PPG in the first three minutes.
