Ronnie Fieg and New Balance celebrate Kith’s 15th anniversary with the debut of the all-new 2011 silhouette. Here’s everything you need to know.
Popular streetwear boutique Kith is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, frequent Kith collaborator New Balance gave Fieg free rein to develop a new model — the 2011. And unsurprisingly, Fieg looks to have hit it out of the park, creating a new model that offers a fresh take on classic New Balance design cues in a premium package.
The Kith x New Balance 2011 drops on June 29 for a retail price of $200. It will be available online at Kith’s website as well as in-store at the boutique’s various locations.

For those who are unaware, Kith is a renowned streetwear boutique in New York founded in 2011 by Ronnie Fieg. The brand has since expanded to 25 brick-and-mortar locations around the globe — including London, Tokyo and Paris — and is one of the world’s most well-known streetwear boutiques.
As noted above, Fieg and Kith have been frequent collaborators with New Balance, including on various versions of the 990 series — including the V2, V3, V4 and V6 — as well as the 991v2, 992, 993 and more. In order to help celebrate Kith’s 15th anniversary, New Balance decided to allow Fieg to design his own model, in collaboration with 991v2 designer Sam Pearce.
Kith’s website notes that the goal of the collaboration was to add “a modern, heritage-inspired running model to the brand’s heralded archive.” Additionally, Fieg said in a video on Kith’s Instagram that the collaboration is an allegory for his relationship with New Balance, which he notes began with a single seed in 2011. In that Instagram video, Fieg notes that with enough time and care, the sapling and eventually tree that emerged from that seed could weather the storms it would face and could grow — yielding purpose, lessons and memories.
The 2011 features a brand-new, multi-panel upper placed on top of tooling borrowed from the New Balance 2002. The two colorways releasing on the Kith website on June 29 — the Leaf and Sakura Flower — will feature an upper comprised of premium micro-perforated underlays with pigskin suede panels, while the two colorways exclusive to the new New Balance at Kith West Hollywood location — the Bark and Redwood — will be built out of premium boot leather. The 2002 tooling used here retains its ABZORB cushioning system.
Kith notes on its website that each pair will include custom-printed footbeds and three additional lace options and come in special packaging highlighting the boutique’s 15th anniversary with watercolor illustrations depicting the story Fieg laid out in the Instagram video linked above.
In addition to the 2011, there will be clothing and accessories to celebrate Kith’s anniversary and this collaboration.
The Kith x New Balance 2011 will be available in store and online at Kith.
