Wembanyama should put the team on his back and rostering him at captain is a must, as the big man has a great chance to lead this Showdown slate in scoring, possibly by a sizable gap. In this series vs. the Thunder, Wembanyama has posted 84, 62.2 and 41.5 FPTS. In the 11 games this postseason that the center hasn’t exited early, Wembanyama has topped 60 six times.

This season, Wembanyama is generating a massive 1.8 FPTS per minute with a 32% usage rate. This game will be at home in San Antonio and Wembanyama is producing 3.8 FPTS per game more at home than on the road this season. Tonight, Wembanyama should score nothing less than 60 FPTS.

Devin Vassell ($7,000) – Even with De’Aaron Fox (ankle) back from a two-game absence, Vassell posted 41.2 FPTS across 36 minutes in Game 3 while shooting 50% from the field. The shooting guard has improved in each game of this series vs. the Thunder, scoring 29.5, 33 and 41.2 FPTS. During these playoffs, Vassell has provided at least 26 FPTS in 10-of-13 games and he is logging 34.4 minutes per game, which is a notable upgrade from the 30.5 he averaged in the regular season. Vassell is generating 1.2 FPTS per minute this season and he should score over 30 FPTS with so much at stake for the Spurs tonight.

Cason Wallace ($5,400) – With or without Williams, Wallace should see 25-30 minutes tonight with Mitchell inactive, making Wallace a strong target at this price point. The Kentucky product has scored 33 and 30.2 FPTS in the last two of this series. With Mitchell missing the second half in Game 3, Wallace logged 28 minutes off the bench and garnered a 15.4% usage rate. The guard is scoring 0.8 FPTS per minute this season and during these playoffs, Wallace is shooting 47% from the field and 46% on three-pointers. Additionally, Wallace has racked up multiple steals in three straight.

Lu Dort ($2,800) – Dort lacks upside, but at this low price tag, double-digit FPTS would be a success and rostering him helps you jam in both Wembanyama and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Dort has scored 10.8, 16.2 and 10.2 FPTS in this series vs. the Spurs, and the defensive specialist has scored double-figures in 8-of-11 games this postseason. Dort logged 23 minutes with Mitchell inactive in Game 3 and Dort should see a similar workload tonight. With Mitchell off the floor, Dort is supplying 0.7 FPTS per minute this season.

Fades

Chet Holmgren ($8,600) – Holmgren’s salary remains high and he is tough to justify at this price tag. The Spurs are Holmgren’s kryptonite. The big man hasn’t scored more than 24 FPTS in this series and he has fallen short of 30 FPTS in all but one of his seven matchups vs. San Antonio this season. Holmgren is scoring 1.2 FPTS per minute this season, but when facing the Spurs, Holmgren is producing just 0.8 FPTS per minute.

The Outcome

The Spurs haven’t lost three games in a row this season and I don’t expect that to happen tonight. Coming off a loss this season, San Antonio is the best team in the league with a 19-6 SU record. Plus, the Spurs are 36-11 SU at home and 5-3 SU vs. the Thunder.

San Antonio is a league-best 17-8 ATS after a loss and they should cover this 2.5-point spread to even this series.
