A 15-game, 30-team slate is on hand this Tuesday across Major League Baseball. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look today?

Ahead of Tuesday’s MLB contests, here are three NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Red Sox vs. Tigers NRFI (-150)

Times are tough for the Red Sox, last in the AL East with a 14-21 record. One area where the team hasn’t disappointed is its bullpen, ranked seventh in the league with a 3.54 ERA. One of those relievers, Jovani Moran, will take the hill for Boston this evening. The southpaw owns a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 17 strikeouts over 19.1 innings of work. He’ll face a Tigers lineup that has notched the tenth-lowest OPS against left-handed pitching (662). Detroit’s two best hitters so far, Kevin McGonigle (149 wRC+) and Riley Greene (138 wRC+) are left-handed batters, putting them at a disadvantage.

For the home team, it’ll be Framber Valdez toeing the slab. Detroit’s biggest offseason acquisition has enjoyed a terrific first few weeks in Motown. Through seven appearances, the two-time All-Star has posted a 3.35 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 32 strikeouts. To boot, he has a 2.83 ERA over five meetings with Boston. That includes a six-inning, one-run performance on April 19th at Fenway Park. The Red Sox are averaging 3.86 runs per game this season, fifth-fewest in baseball. Against one of baseball’s best left-handers, it’s difficult to envision an offensive outburst tonight.

Guardians vs. Royals NRFI (-140)

At this point in his career, it’s fair to call Gavin Williams one of the league’s most underrated hurlers. After all, the fourth-year pro has accounted for a career 3.44 ERA and 1.26 WHIP. Those stellar numbers have continued into 2026 (2.70 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 11.0 K/9). In fact, Williams leads all of baseball with 5.2 hits allowed per nine innings. That’s bad news for an inconsistent at best Kansas City lineup. The Royals, despite some recent improvement, are still tied for 20th in baseball with 4.17 runs scored per game. Williams has produced a 2.28 ERA over nine career outings vs. KC.

The top half of the first appears a bit more tricky on paper. Stephen Kolek certainly isn’t a household name, now in his second season with the Royals. The right-hander was terrific over five starts with Kansas City last season (1.91 ERA). However, he has yet to pitch in 2026 due to an oblique strain suffered in spring training. Some rust is to be expected from the 29-year-old. Regardless, it’s not as if Cleveland is the most intimidating opponent. The Guardians have put up a 24.69% YRFI rate on the road, fifth-lowest in the majors.

Mets vs. Rockies NRFI (-110)

We’ve saved our riskiest pick of the evening for last. A date to Coors Field, the ultimate hitter’s haven, can scare off most NRFI bettors. However, the Mets are sending their best to the mound tonight in staff ace Freddy Peralta. Over 38.1 innings with his new club, the Dominican has a 3.52 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 42 strikeouts. In addition, he tends to be at his best to open up games. Peralta has notched an impressive 85% NRFI rate since last season. The Rockies, despite their offensively-minded venue, are tied for the league’s ninth-lowest YRFI rate at home (28.4%).

Stepping on the rubber for the home team will be Michael Lorenzen. A quick glance at the veteran’s season-long stats doesn’t inspire confidence: 6.09 ERA and 1.77 WHIP. Still, the former All-Star is usually a good bet in this spot. Over the past two seasons, just like Peralta, he has an 85% NRFI rate. It helps that Tuesday’s opponents, the Mets, are scaring absolutely no one at the plate. New York is averaging 3.49 runs per game, second-fewest in baseball. When these teams met on April 24th at Citi Field, Lorenzen dominated en route to a seven-inning, one-run masterpiece.
