Zegras recorded at least one point in 30-of-40 home games this season, including each of his last six home outings. He has found general success against the Penguins, too, notching a point in four of his last five home meetings and in 8-of-12 home meetings overall.
Like Zegras, Malkin failed to record a point in Game 2, but he has found great success against the Flyers in the past, notching at least one point in 10 of his last 15 meetings. The veteran center has posted four multi-point games across his last six games, and Pittsburgh finds itself down 2-0 in the series, so Malkin and Sidney Crosby will have to step up.
Boldy has cleared this line in both postseason games thus far, with eight shots on goal in Game 1 and five in Game 2. In each of those games, he totaled 10 shot attempts, and I’d expect that to continue tonight at home. Boldy has cleared 4+ SOG in five of his past seven home outings and in each of his last eight meetings against the Stars.
Robertson has scored in both playoff games thus far and in six of his past seven outings. He has also netted a goal in each of his past five meetings against the Wild. Jesper Wallstedt will start Game 3 for the Wild, and he let in three goals on 31 shots in Game 2, with Robertson scoring the third goal of the game for the Stars.
While Draisaitl was unable to score in Game 1 and Edmonton had its depth step up, he can’t be contained for too long. He has netted a goal in four of his last eight home games and will see extended opportunities on the power play, especially with Connor McDavid facilitating the puck. Anaheim ranked inside the top-10 in penalty minutes during the regular season, and each matchup between these two teams this season featured at least six goals. I’m expecting another higher-scoring affair, and it’s hard to fade Draisaitl when goals should be frequent.
