Alex Hunter breaks down his favorite WNBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s four-game slate.
On tap for Monday is a four-game WNBA slate. Below, I have featured three of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for these contests on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Shepard has been one of the top rebounders in the WNBA this season, averaging a career-high 11.3 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the league behind only Angel Reese. Shepard is facing the Storm tonight, who are giving up the second-most rebounds this season (36.9). Plus, Alanna Smith (face) will be out for the Wings, which should result in more rebound opportunities for Shepard.
With Smith off the floor this season, Shepard’s rebound rate increases 1.6 percentage points to 22.5%. The veteran grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds vs. the Aces in the lone game Smith has missed this season and Shepard should have another big performance on the glass Monday.
Clark has been terrific recently. In her last five, the guard has scored 32, 25, 21, 26 and 26 points. During this stretch, Clark is shooting 49.4% from the field and 33% on three-pointers. Role-wise, she is leading the Fever with a 30.5% usage rate and 34.6 minutes per game.
Tonight, Clark is going against the Mercury, who rank 11th in defensive rating and are allowing the most made three-pointers per game this season (9.6). Indiana’s 92.5-point implied team total on DraftKings Sportsbook is the second-highest on the slate and Clark should stay hot in this elite spot.
Mabrey made headlines Friday, when she went off for a career-high 37 points vs. the Sun. Mabrey went 12-of-24 from the field and she led the Tempo with a mammoth 39.3% usage rate in the 101-97 win for Toronto.
Brittney Sykes (foot), Kiki Rice (ankle) and Nyara Sabally (hamstring) all being out led to Mabrey’s godly role. Sykes and Rice have already been ruled out for Monday’s matchup vs. the Dream while Sabally is questionable. Even if Sabally suits up, Mabrey should see another huge usage rate in Sykes and Rice’s absences. With these two off the floor this season, Mabrey is handling a 34.3% usage rate, which is a 5.0 percentage increase from her average. Atlanta is a strong team defensively, ranking fourth in defensive rating this season, but Mabrey’s large expected role out-trumps the matchup concerns and backing her for over 19.5 points is a smart move.
