(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Aaron Judge 1+ Home Run (+290): The public is running it back for a second straight day with Judge in Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field. Judge is only hitting .212 (11-for-52) this season after going 0-for-3 on Saturday. Judge has hit three homers, even though his hard-hit rate and barrel rate are down from the last few years’ huge numbers. He has had at least one hard-hit ball in eight of his last nine games, with a max exit velocity of at least 107 miles per hour in five of his last seven games. On Sunday afternoon, he will face Drew Rasmussen, whom he is 1-for-11 against in his career with seven strikeouts. Even in that matchup, though, the public thinks Judge will get his first blast of the series, as the Yankees try to avoid the sweep against their division rivals.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+216): Ohtani is always a popular prop, and he delivered in the most bet props from Saturday, going yard against the Rangers for the first time at home this season. Ohtani went 2-for-4 in the Dodgers’ win and is up to .283 (15-for-53) on the year with four long balls and a 52.6% hard-hit rate. He homered off Jack Leiter in the first inning on Saturday, and on Sunday, he’ll take on Jacob deGrom in the series finale. In his career, Ohtani has never faced deGrom, but the righty has held lefties like Ohtani to 2-for-21 (.095) this season, although one of those hits was a home run. Ohtani definitely has the ability to take any mistake out of the park, and getting him at 2:1 odds feels like good value for the second straight day.
Gunnar Henderson 1+ Home Run (+588): Henderson has gotten off to a fast start from a power perspective, hitting six homers in his first 14 games this year after only 17 homers in 154 games last season. He homered in each of the first two games of this series and in four of his last five games. He has a 58.3% hard-hit rate over those five games and seems to be thriving in the leadoff spot, and the extra at-bats only boost his opportunities. He’ll face Giants’ righty Adrian Houser, who he is 2-for-3 against with two singles. Houser has let lefties go 10-for-24 (.417) against him this year, but he has yet to give up a homer.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
