Keagan Smith details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday’s Game 3 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers in the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to repeat as NBA Champions. Through their first six games of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, it seems they may be well on their way to accomplishing that goal. After sweeping their first-round opponent, OKC is now up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals. This series shifts to the West Coast tonight, but L.A. may need more than just a change of scenery to compete in this one.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Thunder enter as an 8.5-point favorite on the road with -375 odds to win on the Moneyline. The game total is set at 210.5 combined points.
Here are the top Thunder vs. Lakers prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for this Saturday NBA Playoffs matchup.
Through the first two games of this series, Thunder guard Jared McCain has played a key role as a spark plug off the bench. He scored 12 points in Game 1, shooting 4-for-7 overall with all four of those makes coming from beyond the arc. He then followed it up with an 18-point performance in Game 2, hitting 7-of-11 shots with another four splashes from long range. That’s one heck of a way for the young guard to kick off the series, even if he’s not playing a ton of minutes — the workload of 15 and 18 minutes is certainly the biggest question mark if you’re taking any of his lines.
However, that’s not a reason to be scared off, especially with the prop line set at just 6.5 points today. McCain averaged 10.4 PPG in his 30 regular-season games for Oklahoma City, shooting 46.2% overall and 39.1% from three in 18.0 minutes a night. That’s an encouraging sign for the over on his scoring line tonight, as is the fact that he’s been productive in comparison to this line in seven career meetings against the Lakers. He’s eclipsed 6.5 points in all seven of those matchups, reaching double digits in four of those. All but one of those outings came this season, with the four most recent performances occurring as a member of the Thunder. McCain’s scoring totals in those games? Eight, 15, 12, and 18 points.
With a career average of 12.3 PPG against Los Angeles, I like the over on 6.5 points a lot tonight and would also consider targeting alt lines higher on the ladder for improved odds.
We’re sticking with the trend of role player props and targeting a line for Rui Hachimura tonight. The Lakers’ forward has never been a star, but he has played his role as an offensive threat well for this team. In the regular season, he averaged 11.5 PPG on a 51.4% FG% and 44.3% 3P%. That efficiency is striking for a 6-foot-8 power forward, especially in terms of ability from beyond the arc. Granted, it wasn’t on high volume as he put up just 3.9 attempts from deep per game, but he’s shot better than 40% from downtown in three straight seasons. Frankly, the guy’s a sniper of sorts.
Hachimura is posting 16.1 PPG this postseason on a staggering 57.1% 3P%, hitting 3.0 shots per game on 5.3 attempts. That’s exactly why we’re targeting 3+ made threes for him this evening against the Thunder. While the Oklahoma City defense is formidable, much attention will be paid to LeBron James and Austin Reaves, potentially allowing a couple of open looks for Hachimura. He’s also hit three or more looks from beyond the arc in five of his eight games this postseason, with three games of four or more made threes. That includes both of the first two games of this series in which he made three and four of his shots from distance. If the Lakers fall behind, just watch for even more shot volume for Hachimura from downtown.
