Friday’s slate features a full schedule of games, highlighted by Max Fried continuing his strong run for the Yankees, Dylan Cease’s elite strikeout upside for Toronto, and Chris Sale looking to extend his recent stretch of one-run outings for Atlanta.
Burrows has allowed at least eight hits in four of his seven starts this season. Lodolo will be making his first start of 2026. Through three rehab starts in the minors, he pitched 12 innings, posting a 1.50 ERA with a 1.32 FIP and a 12.7 K/9.
After a rough rookie season, Dollander has been excellent thus far. Through eight appearances, he has a 3.38 ERA, an xERA of 3.14, and a 10.1 K/9. Luzardo has been the victim of some bad luck on the mound, as his 5.09 ERA is nowhere near his 3.16 xERA and a 2.72 FIP.
Lopez was shelled in his last start, allowing six runs on eight hits, including two home runs, against the Guardians. Bradish has seen a huge drop in his strikeouts from last season, with almost identical innings pitched. He’s gone from a 13.2 K/9 over six starts in 2025 to a 9.2 K/9 over seven starts this season.
Detmers has allowed at least three runs in five of his seven starts. Cease continues to rack up strikeouts, as his 13.1 K/9 is currently a career-high.
Scholtens has been used in a bulk relief role mainly, but will start against the Red Sox tonight. Early has been a regression candidate, and it showed his last time out against the Astros. They tagged him for five runs on six hits through four innings.
Griffin has tossed back-to-back shutouts against the White Sox and Brewers, spanning 13 innings. Snelling will make his major league debut after six starts in Triple-A this season.
Prielipp has made three starts and owns a 3.86 ERA with an xERA of 3.46 and a 4.14 FIP. Messick is coming off his worst start of the season, allowing four runs on six hits with six strikeouts against the Athletics.
Bubic has been great on the mound, despite his high walk rate. He currently owns a 4.2 BB/9 through 40.2 innings.
Fried hasn’t allowed an earned run in four of his eight starts this season. Misiorowski has logged at least eight strikeouts in five of his seven starts.
Hancock is averaging over a strikeout per inning for the first time in the majors since his debut in 2023. Burke hasn’t allowed a run in his last two appearances, spanning 13.1 innings against the Nationals and Padres.
Brown will likely serve as an extended opener, as he’s yet to throw more than 3.1 innings. Rocker got lit up by the Tigers in his last start, allowing five runs on seven hits through just two innings.
McLean hasn’t allowed more than three runs in his seven starts and has at least eight strikeouts in four of them. Nelson has a 6.61 ERA with an xERA of 5.79 and a 5.50 FIP.
McGreevey’s luck is going to run out at some point, as his 2.52 ERA is not close to his 5.77 xERA. Canning will make his second start in a Padres uniform after his one run performance against the White Sox.
Sale hasn’t allowed more than one run in four straight starts.
Mlodzinski is in a rough stretch, allowing 14 runs on 19 hits through 13.2 innings.
