The 2026 FIFA World Cup continues on Saturday as Croatia faces Ghana in the final round of matches in Group L.
Let’s dive into my favorite bet for this match.
Croatia are currently ranked 13th in the FIFA rankings, while Ghana sits at 65th in the world.
Croatia lost their opening game to England 4-2. They were tied 2-2 at the half, but the wheels fell off in the second. Then, they got a 1-0 win against Panama to sit at three points with this final game remaining. They will need a result in this one if they want to advance, and ultimately I think they will win. This is an aging side, but with that comes experience. This group has made it to the semi-final in each of the last two World Cups, and I think that experience will help them navigate this match and get a win. Croatia still haven’t played their best stuff in this tournament, but Saturday’s game is the perfect opportunity to kick it up a notch.
Ghana have overachieved so far in this tournament, and credit to them. They got a late goal in the first match to beat Panama, and defended brilliantly in the second game to earn a 0-0 draw against England. They will have to defend a lot in this game as well, and will likely try to hit Croatia on the counter attack.
Croatia need points in this one more as they only have three, and their experience should lead them to victory here.
