MLB DFS Picks: Top Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for Monda...
Zach Thompso · 2026-05-25 · via DraftKings Network

Zach Thompson dives into Monday night’s five-game MLB slate to find three value options for your DraftKings lineups.

Major League Baseball has baseball spread throughout Memorial Day this Monday, with five games under the lights on the night slate to close out the action. The night slate starts at 6:40 p.m. ET with a late afternoon game from San Diego, and includes a Texas-sized rivalry and two divisional matchups from the West Coast. With 10 teams of players to choose from, finding the right MLB DFS Value Picks can help stretch your salary cap as you assemble your squad. In this post, we’ll examine my top three MLB DFS Value Picks, who all bring good upside at their low salaries.

The weather looks clear for these contests, but be sure to check back to see if there are any adjustments to make before first pitch due to lineups or forecast adjustments.

Let’s dive in and take a look at a few of the best value plays from the 10 teams in the player pool this Monday night.

Best MLB DFS value plays

SP Kumar Rocker, Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros, $7,000

The probable pitchers on Monday night include an interesting mix of players in good form and others trying to establish themselves as strong, go-to fantasy options. Rocker is one of the young players with huge upside but has struggled to establish consistency in his nine games this season. He’s only 2-4 with a 3.60 ERA and 1.36 WHIP, but the Rangers may have figured something out in his last outing.

Rocker came in after Tyler Alexander ($4,000) served as the opener, and Rocker dominated with 7 2/3 shutout innings with three hits allowed and seven strikeouts for 31.6 FPTS. The fact that that outing was at Coors Field makes it even more impressive. He has often struggled in the first inning on the road this season, so maybe operating behind an opener will unlock his potential. Rocker has a 3.60 ERA and 4.00 FIP with 37 strikeouts in 45 innings.

The No. 3 overall pick has flashed his upside in his last two outings after a slow start to May. He had so much success on Tuesday in Denver that the team may use an opener again on Monday, depending on the status of their bullpen options.

3B/SS Colt Emerson, Seattle Mariners at Athletics, $3,000

The Mariners top prospect has played seven games for the Mariners over the last week since his promotion, and he broke through with a monster game on Sunday, going 4-for-4 with three doubles and 22 FPTS in the team’s 8-6 loss to Kansas City.

He has reached base safely in all but one of his first seven games, and he homered last Monday for his first MLB dinger and is now .286 with an average of 7.3 FPTS per game. He and the Mariners will be on the road at hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park against Aaron Civale ($7,500) on Monday, and Civale has let lefties hit .295 with five homers and a .368 wOBA against him this season. Emerson is a top-10 prospect in all of baseball, and he has a well-balanced and productive skill set available at a bargain rate on this slate.

OF Yohendrick Pinango, Toronto Blue Jays vs. Miami Marlins, $2,800

The Blue Jays welcome in the Marlins in an interleague set that starts on Monday night, and they’ll be taking on Janson Junk ($7,300), who has run hot and cold this season but really struggled in his last two outings, giving up 15 runs on 18 hits in just 10 2/3 innings. Lefties like Pinango have a .308 batting average, .382 wOBA, and a .223 ISO against Junk this season and have hit five of the eight homers he has allowed.

The Blue Jays’ 24-year-old rookie outfielder is an interesting outfield play under $3,000 since he is hitting .313 in his 23 games this season with a homer, 10 RBI, and a .344 wOBA. Pinango has hit safely in four of his last five starts and went 2-for-3 with a double and 10 FPTS on Saturday. Until Addison Barger (elbow) is ready to come back from the IL, Pinango should continue to get playing time against righties, and his strong contact skillset gives him a high floor as a bargain play since he almost always finds a way to reach base in favorable matchups like Monday’s.
