(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Donovan Mitchell 30+ Points (+187): Things have not gone super well for Mitchell in the playoffs, at least since the All-Star dropped 30+ points in Game 1 and Game 2 against the Raptors. In fact, dating back to Game 3 of that series, Mitchell is averaging just 20.5 points per contest while shooting an underwhelming 40.2% (49-for-122) from the field. To be fair, Mitchell was decent in Game 1 of the Cavaliers’ semifinal series against the Pistons, yet his herculean performances from past postseasons might not be reachable now that he’s playing alongside James Harden, who led Cleveland with a robust 33.3% usage rate on Tuesday night. The matchup doesn’t help, either. Detroit sports a 102.5 defensive rating in the playoffs — the second-best mark in the NBA.
Chet Holmgren 10+ Rebounds (+136): Counting stats are always a little peculiar with Chet Holmgren, as the Thunder’s general dominance has allowed the former second-overall pick to usually log far fewer than 30 minutes per contest. You’d think that would change in the playoffs, yet Oklahoma City is 5-0 in the 2025-26 postseason with a +18.4 net rating. They’ve not been even remotely challenged. Still, Holmgren’s cleared this prop in each of his past two starts, and during the regular season, he managed 11.1 rebounds per 36 minutes along with a 16.7% total rebounding rate that was the 12th-highest mark in the league. It’s not a matter of if he has the ability to grab double-digit boards, it’s simply about script and opportunity.
LeBron James 20+ Points (-138): This feels like a pretty safe bet. Tonight will be LeBron James’ 300th career playoff game. He’s registered at least 20 points in all but 33 of the first 299. I know there’s a thousand LeBron stats, and every single one makes your brain explode, but the man is pretty amazing. Crucially, I think it’s worth mentioning that James has exceeded 20 points in each of the Lakers’ past three games — games for while Austin Reaves had returned from injury. Even with a second potent scorer available, James still posted usage rates of 31.2%, 36.9% and 23.6%, respectively. The ball is going to be in his hands with Luka Doncic (hamstring) still in street clothes.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
