On Saturday, Major League Baseball has seven games under the lights to close out a busy Saturday of action. It shapes up to be an offense-heavy slate, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some strong starting pitcher prop bets to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook. From Saturday’s slate, I’ve selected my favorite plays from the Astros’ Spencer Arrighetti, the Phillies’ Cristopher Sanchez, and a combo-prop from the Angels’ Walbert Urena and the Athletics’ J.T. Ginn.

• Spencer Arrighetti to record a win (+165): In his 11 starts this season, Arrighetti has seven wins, and he is 3-0 in his four outings at home with a 0.95 WHIP and 2.22 ERA.
• Cristopher Sanchez Over 19.5 Outs Recorded (-119): Sanchez only got 17 outs in his last start on the road in Milwaukee, but he went over this prop in eight straight starts before that. He has recorded at least 20 outs in five straight starts at Citizens Bank Park.
• J.T. Ginn & Walbert Urena – 10+ Combined Strikeouts Thrown (-104): Ginn has a 21.5% K% this season while averaging 4.9 strikeouts per game in the rotation. On the other side of this combo prop, Urena has a 21.3% K% and has averaged 5.1 strikeouts per game. In their last six outings, Urena averaged 5.3 strikeouts, and Ginn averaged 5.7 strikeouts.

Arrighetti and the Astros host the Guardians on Saturday night, who don’t have several key pieces in their offense with Jose Ramirez (hand), Angel Martinez (foot) and Chase DeLauter (rib) all out. The thinner lineup should be a good spot for Arrighetti to continue his recent strong form, and since his opposition lefty Joey Cantillo has struggled on the road, he should get enough run support to put this plus-money prop in play.

In 11 starts this season, Arrighetti has seven wins, and he is 3-0 in his four outings at home with a 0.95 WHIP and 2.22 ERA. He lost his last start on the road in Kansas City and hasn’t won any of his last three outings, but he is in a good position to get back to his winning ways in this matchup against Cleveland.

The Astros got a strong starting pitching performance from Tatsuya Imai in the series opener, and Arrighetti will look to pick up where his fellow righty left off on Saturday night at Daikin Park.

Cristopher Sanchez Over 19.5 Outs Recorded (-119)

It’s been a spectacular season for Cristopher Sanchez, who has gone 8-3 in 15 starts with a 1.82 ERA, 2.15 FIP and 1.09 WHIP. He has a .322 BABIP against him, so you could even argue that he has pitched better than those numbers. While he has been extremely effective, one of his most valuable contributions for the Phillies is how deep he regularly works into games, making this prop a strong option for Saturday night, even though he has to pitch 6 2/3 innings to get the over.

He’ll be looking for a bit of a bounce-back outing after giving up four runs to the Brewers on the road in Milwaukee last Sunday. He only got 17 outs in that outing, but he went over this prop in eight straight starts before that. In those eight starts, he had a 0.75 ERA and 70 strikeouts through 59 2/3 innings.

He has also recorded at least 20 outs in five straight home outings, and he has a dominant 0.90 ERA and 0.57 WHIP at home this season.

The Mets’ offense has been much improved since they infused some young prospects, but they’ll face a tough test against Sanchez. I expect the Phillies’ ace to get back to providing his team lots of quality innings on Saturday night and think he’ll work over this prop line.

J.T. Ginn & Walbert Urena – 10+ Combined Strikeouts Thrown (-104)

Let’s finish the night with a wild (but fun) combined strikeout prop using both Ginn and Urena as the Angels and Athletics match up in Sacramento. These familiar AL West foes played an intense 12-11 matchup that lasted 10 innings and required both bullpens to be heavily utilized as nine pitchers out of the bullpens logged a combined for a total of 10 innings. Both teams will hope for some length from their starter on Saturday night.

Ginn had 10 strikeouts on his own the last time he faced the Angels in a near no-hitter in Anaheim. He has a 21.5% K% on the season and is averaging 4.9 strikeouts per game since moving to the rotation. On the other side of this combo prop, Urena has a 21.3% K% and has averaged 5.1 strikeouts per game in his 11 starts. In his last six starts, Urena averaged 5.3 strikeouts, and Ginn averaged 5.7 strikeouts.

Both starters are in potentially high strikeout spots since the Angels lead the majors with a 24.9% K% and the A’s rank in the middle of the pack with a 22.2% K%. Especially since both teams will try to get as many innings as possible before going to the bullpen, the starters should be able to get to 10 K’s, with either one carrying the majority of the work if they dominate and are at their best.
