Ryan Wohl breaks down his favorite prop bets for tonight’s UFC Fight Night card in Las Vegas.
Tonight at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, the UFC is putting on a Fight Night event. This card is headlined by a phenomenal flyweight contest between No. 2 Manel Kape vs. No. 5 Kyoji Horiguchi. Ion Cutelaba takes on rising prospect Navajo Stirling in the co-main event.
Check out my favorite prop bets for tonight’s UFC Fight Night card.
Nearly nine years after their first showdown, Kape and Horiguchi face off once again. Horiguchi won the first fight between the two by submission in December 2017. Kape has scored three consecutive knockouts, as Horiguchi is 2-0 since returning to the UFC.
Kape has recorded 17 and 61 significant strikes in his previous two fights. In 10 UFC fights, Kape only has two performances with over 86.5 significant strikes. A big part of that is some of his fights didn’t last the full scheduled time when he scored a knockout. Also, Kape could struggle in this contest, as Horiguchi has only allowed 2.13 significant strikes per minute to opponents in the UFC.
Navajo Stirling is 4-0 in the UFC and now tests his skills against a 10-year UFC veteran in Ion Cutelaba. Even though Cutelaba has been in the promotion for quite some time, he is still only 32, and he is 1-3 in his previous four fights. In this matchup, Stirling has the physical advantages, as he is taller (6’4″ vs. 6’1″) and has a larger standing reach (79″ vs. 75″).
In all four fights in the UFC, Stirling has totaled over 47.5 significant strikes. Even though he is coming off a second-round knockout, he still managed to record 63 significant strikes. Cutelaba has more experience, but Stirling should still find success with his size advantage and tremendous striking ability.
