Alex Hunter previews the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club and gives his picks for your DraftKings fantasy golf lineups.
The Truist Championship will be played at Quail Hollow Club (par 71, 7,583 yards, Bermuda/POA trivialis greens) in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the sixth of eight Signature Events this season and the second Signature Event in a row. As a Signature Event, there will be 72 golfers competing for a $20 million purse and there will be no cut. Since 2003, Quail Hollow Club has hosted a PGA TOUR event almost every year. This par 71 last hosted the 2025 PGA Championship and Scottie Scheffler (-11) won that major by five strokes. The world No. 1 will not be in competing at the Truist Championship this week.
Below, I dive into three of my favorite DFS options on DraftKings for the Truist Championship.

Fowler is quietly playing great golf. In his last two starts, Fowler has finished T-8 at the RBC Heritage and T-9 at the Cadillac Championship, both of which are no-cut Signature Events like the Truist Championship. The veteran gained strokes on approach and with his putter in both these starts, and he shot under par in seven of these eight rounds, most notably with a 6-under 65 to start the RBC Heritage.
Next, Fowler heads to Quail Hollow, where he won in 2012. Fowler has produced eight top-25 finishes in 12 starts at Quail Hollow Club and he ranks sixth among this field in strokes gained per round at the track. In convincing form, Fowler should card another high finish at Quail Hollow this week.
Following a stretch of missing three cuts in a row, Griffin has regained his form. The 29-year-old has made five straight cuts with no finishes worse than T-33, most recently with a T-10 finish at the team-based Zurich Classic with Andrew Novak as his partner and a solo third-place finish at the Cadillac Championship last week, marking his best finish of the season. At the Blue Monster Course, Griffin closed with 4-under 68s on Saturday and Sunday while gaining strokes on approach and with his putter in both rounds.
Griffin ranked fourth in SGP for the event and he has gained strokes with his flat stick at three consecutive tournaments. A hot putter is needed at Quail Hollow, as four of the last five victors here have finished the event top-eight in SGP and Griffin shined in just his second start at this venue last season for the PGA Championship. Griffin finished T-8 while gaining strokes across the board and the three-time PGA TOUR winner brings similar upside this week.
Glover is an appealing punt play at only $6,200. The veteran has finished inside the top-35 in 12 of his 21 starts at Quail Hollow. Glover won here in 2011 and more recently, he finished T-16 in 2024. Glover ranks 20th in strokes gained per round at Quail Hollow among this field and after finishing T-42 at the RBC Heritage, Glover just finished a season-best T-14 at the Cadillac Championship last week.
Glover ranked seventh in SG APP among the world-class field at the Blue Monster Course and he shot under par in his final three rounds, including a 5-under 67 on Sunday. Looking to carry this momentum over to Quail Hollow, Glover could finish inside the top-25 this week.
