Bill Yin breaks down the opening odds for the FIFA 2026 World Cup Group L match between England and Ghana.
England and Ghana both opened the 2026 FIFA World Cup with wins, setting up an important Group L matchup between the two teams currently sitting at the top of the table.
England started its tournament with a 4-2 win over Croatia, getting two goals from Harry Kane along with second-half goals from Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford. Ghana also grabbed three points in its opener, beating Panama 1-0 on Caleb Yirenkyi’s stoppage-time winner.
England and Ghana will meet Tuesday, June 23 at 4 p.m. ET at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. DraftKings Sportsbook has odds for the Group L matchup.
England is a heavy favorite on DraftKings, sitting at -426 on the 90-minute Moneyline. Ghana is +1329 to pull off the upset, while the draw is listed at +567.
The total is set at 2.5 goals, with the over priced at -144 and the under at +133. England showed its attacking ceiling by scoring four goals against Croatia, but it also conceded twice, so this matchup has a little more volatility than the lopsided Moneyline suggests.
England can take firm control of Group L with another win, while Ghana has a chance to put itself in an excellent position to advance if it can take points from one of the tournament favorites. Both teams already have three points, which gives this match a real chance to shape the top of the group.
