Thursday night present a two-game WNBA slate. Below, I have featured three of my favorite DFS targets on DraftKings for this slate.

PG/SG, Chennedy Carter, Las Vegas Aces vs. Dallas Wings, $6,800

After going unsigned last season, Carter signed with the defending champion Aces this offseason and the guard has been outstanding in her comeback campaign. As Las Vegas’s first player off the bench, Carter is scoring 29.8 FPTS in 22 minutes per game. The 27-year-old is shooting a ridiculous 66% from the field, which ranks fifth among the players who have taken at least 20 shots. Carter is also shooting 58.3% from beyond the arc, which ranks third among the players who have hoisted up at least 10 three-pointers.

Carter ranks fourth in the WNBA in usage rate at 31.5%, which leads the Aces, even ahead of reigning MVP A’ja Wilson. Carter is generating 1.4 FPTS per minute and she is on the heels of a 35.8 FPTS outing vs. the Sparks this past Saturday. Carter is already a -500 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook to win Sixth Player of the Year and this $6,800 salary is just too low for her, especially with a weak Wings’ defense on the other side. Dallas ranks 11th in defensive rating and Carter’s awesome start to the season should continue in this spot with 30+ FPTS.

SF/PF, Awak Kuier, Dallas Wings vs. Las Vegas Aces, $5,600

With Alanna Smith (doubtful, illness) not expected to suit up, Kuier is a great target, starter or not. In her last four, Kueir has scored 26.8, 1.2, 24.5 and 23.5 FPTS. In that final game, she started the second half over Smith and logged a season-high 24 minutes in a 15-point win over the Liberty.

Kuier ranks second in plus/minus for the Wings this season, so getting her more work going forward makes sense and she should see around 25 minutes tonight vs. the Aces, who rank second in pace and sixth in defensive rating this season. Kuier is scoring 1.1 FPTS per minute while shooting 66% from the field and handling a 15.8% usage rate this season, and she should score nothing less than 20 FPTS tonight.

SF/PF, Jessica Shepard, Dallas Wings vs. Las Vegas Aces, $10,200

As you can see, stacking the Wings vs. Aces matchup is my preferred strategy for this two-game slate. On DraftKings’ Sportsbook, this contest’s 176.5-point total is 10 points higher than Fever vs. Valkyries, which is a clash between the top-two rated defenses in the league.

Dallas vs. Las Vegas should be a much more fantasy friendly environment and Shepard is one of the best ways to attack this tilt. The forward is amassing 34.9 FPTS in 31 minutes per game while shooting 55% from the field this season. With Smith expected to sit, Shepard should be one of the main beneficiaries. With Smith off the floor this season, Shepard’s production increases to 1.3 FPTS per minute, thanks to her rebound rate rising 4.2 percentage points to a team-high 25.1%.

Playing up in pace vs. the Aces, Shepard should reach the double-double bonus for the fifth straight game and she has a ceiling north of 40 FPTS.
