Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. went back to the locker room late in the second quarter during Wednesday’s play-in game against the Warriors.
He was replaced by Kobe Sanders after getting inadvertently kicked by Gui Santos in the right shin. He remained in the game for a bit before getting subbed out.
— Law Murray 🪺 (@LawMurrayTheNU) April 16, 2026Derrick Jones Jr., who has had terrible luck with people hitting his legs this season, was down for a while after Santos accidentally kicked Jones' right shin
But like Lazarus, Jones is up and making his free throws
Before exiting, Jones contributed seven points, one rebound, a block, and a steal in 15 minutes of action. He’s a key defender against Stephen Curry, so his absence would be a big one for the Clippers.
If he does not return, Jones would qualify for DraftKings Early Exit.
