Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for Marwan Rahiki vs. Ollie Schmid at this week’s UFC Fight Night in Perth.
The third fight on this week’s UFC Fight Night card features a contest between two talented Featherweight prospects, Marwan Rahiki and Ollie Schmid. Rahiki, 23, has an undefeated record of 8-0 with eight finishes, while Schmid is 25 with a 4-2 record and is on a three-fight winning streak. The Main Card for this event starts at 7:00 a.m. ET on Paramount+.
Check out my best bet for Marwan Rahiki vs. Ollie Schmid at UFC Perth.
Rahiki is from Morocco but trains at Lion’s Den Academy in Sydney, Australia. He earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2025. Rahiki followed that up with a successful UFC debut as he beat Harry Hardwick by a knockout in the second round. Seven of Rahiki’s eight MMA victories have come in the first two rounds.
Schmid calls City Kickboxing home in Auckland, New Zealand. He began his MMA career 1-2 in his first three fights but has since been more successful, going 3-0. Although Schmid is taller by four inches, Rahiki makes up for it with a one-inch reach advantage (72″ vs. 71″).
In this bout, Rahiki is a massive -700 favorite with Schmid being the underdog at +500 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under for this contest is set at 1.5 rounds, with the under being -188. Rahiki’s elite athleticism and the pace at which he fights are the difference in this contest. When Rahiki pushes his opponents backward, they struggle to stay in the contest. I’m taking Rahiki to win by KO/TKO/DQ at -185, since seven of his eight wins have been by knockout.
