Major League Baseball has a full slate with every team on the scoreboard on Saturday, including five games on the main nighttime DFS fantasy baseball slate on DraftKings, which begins at 7:10 p.m. ET. With 10 teams in the player pool and some great offensive spots on the board, there are plenty of pay-up superstars that make sense. However, if you’re running short on salary, you will need to balance your salary cap space with some MLB DFS Value Picks. In this post, we’ll dive into my top three MLB DFS Value Picks, who all bring good upside at bargain salaries.
Let’s dive in and take a closer look at these options, who come with low salaries but high ceilings this Saturday.

The Rays are in Anaheim in one of the three games that start just after 10:00 p.m. ET. They’ll give the ball to Griffin Jax, who has been transitioning back to the starting rotation and turning in good numbers lately. He is my top value play from the probable pitchers on Saturday night. Jax should be in a good strikeout spot with a high ceiling.
Even though he isn’t fully stretched out, Jax has been able to get through five innings in three of his last five games with over 16 FPTS in two of those outings. He was knocked around by the Tigers two starts ago, but he bounced back with five shutout innings against the Marlins with four strikeouts in a no-decision.
On the season, he has a 4.15 ERA, 4.98 FIP and 1.41 WHIP, but he has allowed two runs or fewer in seven of his eight starts while totaling 26 strikeouts in 30 innings. The Angels have the highest K% in the MLB this season, and they rank in the bottom 10 in batting average and wOBA. Jax should be able to keep them under control on Saturday night and bring lots of salary relief from under $7,000.
Eldridge is locked into the second spot in the Giants batting order and came through with three hits and 20 FPTS in my MLB DFS value picks on Friday. His salary still dropped for Saturday’s contests, though, and he remains a great value even against Ben Brown ($9,000) and the Cubs.
Eldridge is averaging 13.4 FPTS over his last 12 games and is hitting .457 with five doubles, three homers, a .370 ISO and a .568 wOBA. The 21-year-old lefty was the team’s first-round pick in 2023 and was a top-25 prospect in baseball at the end of last season. After a slow start, he’s given a great boost to the top of the order and if he keeps hitting second in the order against righties, he’ll be in another smash spot on Saturday against Brown.
Another exciting recent callup in the NL West has been Cole Carrigg of the Rockies. He was the team’s No. 6 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, and the speedy switch-hitter has lots of potential and ways to have success in what should be another high-scoring game in Las Vegas.
On Friday, he smashed his second homer in just four games in the majors this season and finished with 18 FPTS. He has 10+ FPTS in three of his four games while going 4-for-15 (.267) with a triple, two homers and 11.2 FPTS per game. The 24-year-old had six homers in 57 games at Triple-A before his promotion, so the power is part of his prospect profile, but it’s actually his speed that makes him most interesting for fantasy long-term. He had 30 stolen bases in 37 attempts over his 57 games in Triple-A, so there’s the potential that he can produce big games with his legs even if his bat cools off.
He’s been extremely productive and exciting so far in his brief MLB career, and getting him under $3,000 in such a good offensive environment is a move that makes a lot of sense this Saturday night.
