The Braves and Mariners are set to continue their series at T-Mobile Park on Tuesday night. Sam Connon shares his picks and predictions in regards to Atlanta’s second baseman, Ozzie Albies, and his batter props.
The Atlanta Braves are visiting the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday, continuing their series at 9:40 p.m. ET. Ozzie Albies will once again slot in at second base for the Braves at T-Mobile Park, making his 37th consecutive start to open the season. Looking at the odds, lines and Albies’ batter props on DraftKings Sportsbook, here is a breakdown of how the All-Star could perform at the dish on Tuesday.
DraftKings Sportsbook currently has Ozzie Albies’ hits line set at 0.5 for Tuesday’s contest against the Mariners. His total bases and hits + runs + RBIs over/under are both set at 1.5, while his runs over/under is 0.5.
Albies is currently batting .331 with a .942 OPS, both of which are on pace to be career-highs. He has notched an MLB-leading 46 hits through 36 games, on top of 23 RBIs, 28 runs, eight home runs, eight doubles, 12 walks, 18 strikeouts, 78 total bases and a 1.8 WAR.
That all marks quite a step up from Albies’ production in 2025, when he hit .240 with a .671 OPS. As a three-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger, Albies has had his moments over the years, considering he topped 30 homers and 100 RBIs in both 2021 and 2023. The 2021 World Series champion also led the National League with 189 hits and 640 at-bats back in 2019. He ranks top-five among qualified players at his position in HR, R, RBI, H, TB, SB, SLG and OPS since 2018.
Based on FanGraphs‘ Steamer model, Albies is projected to rack up 15 home runs, 58 runs, 62 RBIs, 39 walks, 71 strikeouts and 2.1 fWAR in 114 games over the rest of the season. That model has his rest-of-season batting average at .262, with his projected OPS sitting at .752.
Albies is in the midst of a 16-game hitting streak dating back to April 18. In that span, he has totaled 25 hits and posted seven multi-hit performances. He has gone for 2+ total bases in seven straight games, 12 of his last 16 and 21-of-36 games on the whole this season. He has only finished hitless seven times all year and has only failed to reach base four times. Put simply, Albies has been about as reliable as they come over the past month-plus of regular season action.
While Albies is 0-for-3 in his career versus Seattle’s starting pitcher, George Kirby, the veteran infielder went 1-for-4 with a home run against the Mariners on Monday. He is a .313 hitter with a .915 OPS at T-Mobile Park, recording three singles, one double, one homer, one walk, three RBIs, two runs and nine total bases in four games at the venue.
I like Albies to stay hot Tuesday, which isn’t much of a hot take. I also think Albies going over 1.5 total bases at plus odds is great value considering how routinely he has done so, so I’m picking that as well.
Strong Lean: Ozzie Albies over 1.5 total bases (+141)
