Wednesday’s game between the San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies has been postponed due to rain.
First pitch was initially scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Park but inclement weather in the area caused the start time to be moved up half an hour to 6:10. Now, the threat of rain delay means the contest has been entirely postponed and rescheduled.
Now, there will be a split doubleheader tomorrow (Thursday, April 30).

Game one of the Thursday doubleheader will begin at 12:35 p.m. ET with the second scheduled for 5:35 p.m.
Assuming the scheduled starters from Wednesday’s postponed game remain in line to take the mound in game one, Adrian Houser (7.36 ERA, 14 SO) will get the nod for San Francisco. For Philadelphia, Andrew Painter (5.25 ERA, 21 SO) will start.
The Phillies are a lowly 10-19, tied for the worst record in baseball at the bottom of the NL East standings. After firing manager Rob Thomson, they’ll hope Don Mattingly can step in to turn things around. The Giants are 13-16, which puts them fourth in the NL West.
