Bryan Armetta shares his three favorite MLB NRFI prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday’s 15-game slate.
The weekend is here, with a 15 game, 30 team slate on Saturday. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look today?
Ahead of Saturday’s MLB contests, here are three NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Cristopher Sanchez is the man on the mound this afternoon for the Phillies. It’s been another stellar campaign for the southpaw, on track for his second All-Star Game selection. Through 55.1 innings of work, he’s notched a 2.11 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 67 strikeouts (10.9 K/9). Since 2025, the 29-year-old has produced an outstanding 83% NRFI rate. Even though the Pirates have been a better unit on offense this season, I’ll gladly back Philadelphia’s ace on Saturday.
The top half of the inning could prove more difficult for NRFI purposes. It’s been a shaky season for Bubba Chandler. The highly touted prospect has struggled mightily with his command, leading to several erratic performances. During eight appearances, the rookie has put up a 4.62 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 34 strikeouts (7.8 K/9). With that being said, Chandler has delivered a career 10-2 NRFI record (83%). In comparison, Philadelphia has accounted for baseball’s 11th-worst NRFI rate on the road (23.81%).
For only the second time this season, Carlos Rodon will toe the slab for New York. The 12th-year pro made his season debut on Sunday, coughing up three earned runs over 4.1 innings against Milwaukee. However, he should have more success this evening against a far worse lineup. The Mets are averaging 3.70 runs per game, fourth-worst in baseball. During 33 appearances in 2025, Rodon compiled an impressive 2.18 first inning ERA. That’s a positive sign heading into this Subway Series showdown.
For the home team, it’ll be opener Huascar Brazoban getting things started for the Mets. The right-hander has already established himself as one of the team’s top relievers. Through 21.0 innings this season, he’s delivered a 2.14 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 16 strikeouts. He’ll have his work cut out this evening against a loaded Yankees lineup. With that being said, the Pinstripes have been somewhat timid at the plate recently. They’ve scored 36 runs over their last ten contests, eighth-worst in the league during that stretch. To boot, the Bronx Bombers are only scoring 3.88 runs per game on the road, eighth-lowest in baseball.
The Freeway Series resumes tonight following a dominant 6-0 Dodgers win on Friday. Los Angeles will attempt to earn a fourth straight win this evening with a surprise breakout on the mound. Despite injuries to several key hurlers, the defending champs continue to wield an elite pitching staff. That’s due in part to Justin Wrobleski, arguably the team’s second-best starter this season. Through seven appearances (six starts), the southpaw owns a 2.42 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. He’s not a fireballer, instead opting to generate weak contact from opponents. There’s a good chance that continues on Saturday against the Angels. The Halos have scored an MLB-worst 25 runs over their last ten matchups.
To counter Wrobleski, it’ll be Jose Soriano on the bump this evening. On an otherwise mediocre Angels roster, the right-hander has emerged as a much-needed ace. Over 54.1 innings of work, the 27-year-old has put up a 1.66 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 61 strikeouts (10.1 K/9). When Soriano last faced the Dodgers, in August of 2025, he tossed six scoreless, two-hit innings. It’s not as if this club has been invincible on offense either, especially at the start of games. LA’s lineup has a 25.0% YRFI rate on the road, tied for the 13th-worst in the majors. Soriano is more than capable of keeping these crosstown rivals at bay tonight.
