The Empire arrived on Janix in Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord and immediately began tightening its grip. Despite that, Maul, Devon and Master Eeko-Dio Daki — as well as the Lawsons, Two-Boots and Vario — have evaded Imperial forces. But, in the final two episodes of Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord Season 1, the Empire took things to the next level.

So, let’s get to it — did DARTH VADER show up in Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord?
Yes, Darth Vader arrives toward the end of Episode 9 of Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord, “Strange Allies.” He goes on to duel with Devon, Master Eeko-Dio Daki and Maul in Episode 10, “The Dark Lord.”
All three recognize that he is no simple Inquisitor and Daki senses he is a Dark Lord of the Sith. Vader handles all three with ease, instantly, further injuring Maul and fighting one-handed in a sign of his strength. This leads to a difference of opinion in how to deal with this incredible threat, with Daki suggesting patience and cunning and Maul suggesting aggression. Maul tells Devon that such must tap into her rage and fulfill her potential against Vader.
Ultimately, Daki and Maul attempt to fight Vader. Daki says they can take him together, but Maul double-crosses Daki, shoving him toward Vader. Vader overpowers Daki with his rage and murders the Jedi Master, immediately enraging Devon, which suggests perhaps Maul saw this as an opportunity to further nudge her toward the Dark Side. She fights with aggression and Maul prevents Vader from killing her. She rages, promising to kill those responsible for Daki’s death, but Maul tells her that she is not ready … but he will train her and together they will have their revenge. She finally says she’s ready and now Maul has his new apprentice.
