Pearce Dietrich helps you build your DraftKings Pick6 pick sets for the NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250 at the San Diego Street Course.
The NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250 at the San Diego Street Course is on Sunday, and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. Build a “Pick Set” (2+ drivers) and decide if they will outperform their stat projections. Here is some advice to help build your DraftKings Pick6 Pick Sets for the 2026 Cup Series Anduril 250 at the San Diego Street Course.
Has there ever been more meaningless words? Even the numbers are trivial. Everyone knows it — not just the fans and media, but the actual drivers. SVG is going to embarrass the field. The former Supercars champion humiliated the NASCAR Cup Series field at Watkins Glen, a road course where teams and drivers have decades of experience. The thumping is coming, and DraftKings knows it. There isn’t a Pick6 finishing position pick for Shane van Gisbergen. That’s a first in the history of the contest.
Everything has gone exactly as predicted in the DK Network Best Bets article published earlier this week. Van Gisbergen would sandbag in practice. He wouldn’t reveal all of his cards. Coronado was, quite literally, a clandestine operation. SVG hides his technique by sandbagging his SMT data. He was good in practice, but not great, because he didn’t need to be. When the green flag dropped for qualifying, SVG took the pole as predicted. Now he’ll take the win, along with all of the lap-led and fast-lap points.
Here is the NASCAR Cup Series road course hierarchy. Most of the field is on the bottom rung. SVG sits at the top of the ladder. Several drivers occupy the middle rungs, but only one driver is respectably close to the Kiwi. Reddick beat SVG at COTA. The 23XI Racing No. 45 Toyota was just a smidge slower and slightly less smooth at Watkins Glen on the final run of the race. It will be difficult for Reddick to beat SVG again, but a top-five finish seems like an easy click for DraftKings Pick Sixers.
The strategy is conflicting. Three picks. All better. There are a handful of unknowns. This race could be a mess. The safest way to play it is to pick “worse.” On paper, the picks seem very safe. In reality, the road course at Naval Base Coronado is anything but safe. It’s ironic — a safe and secure military base will be the most dangerous place in America on Sunday afternoon.
Kyle Larson had a rough run at the road courses in 2025. It was unfortunate. There were driver mistakes, team mistakes, and all-around bad luck. Hendrick did not forget how to find speed when turning left. Larson’s racing skills did not diminish. As Nacho Libre once said, “You can’t win them all.”
Yung Money isn’t likely to win. He may not have a place on the podium, but he doesn’t need a spot. He just needs a top 10. Stop for a second. When was the last time Kyle Larson’s projection was 8.5? That’s not rhetorical. When was Larson’s projection this weak? What track? Was it back in the twenty-teens with Chip Ganassi Racing?

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
