Below, I have featured a cut parlay to consider for the PGA Championship.
Conners is a cut making machine. In the last year, Conners has only missed two cuts in 20 starts. At major championships, the Canadian has made eight straight cuts, excluding his withdrawal from the U.S. Open last season. Conners has finished inside the top-30 at three consecutive PGA Championships and has made 5-of-7 cuts at this major. While Conners has never played Aronimink before, he has the driver to get around this lengthy par 70, as he ranks 28th in total driving this season.
Rai has advanced through the cut in eight of his last 10 starts worldwide. This past week at the Myrtle Beach Classic, Rai finished a season-best T5th while gaining strokes in every major category. The Englishman will now look to build off this at the PGA Championship at Aronimink. Rai has finished T39th and T19th at the last two PGA Championships. In fact, he has made the cut at eight straight majors. Aronimink was also designed by Donald Ross, which is music to Rai’s ears. At the Ross-designed Sedgefield CC, Rai has a four-shot win and a T9 finish in two starts. Additionally, at the Ross-designed Detroit Golf Club, Rai has finished T9th and runner-up in two starts. When we compare this field’s results at Ross courses, Rai ranks seventh in strokes gained per round.
Snedeker rejoined the winner’s circle last week, taking home the top prize at the Myrtle Beach Classic. This snapped a nearly eight-year drought without a win for the 45-year-old. While very few picked Snedeker to win, this didn’t completely come out of nowhere since the veteran has been playing much better recently. In his last four starts, Snedeker has finished T18th, T39th, T30th and of course, first. Snedeker has gained strokes on approach at back-to-back events and he has shot under par in eight consecutive rounds. Snedeker will now compete in his first PGA Championship since 2020. While it’s been a while, Snedeker has been reliable at this major throughout his career, making 10-of-13 cuts. Plus, he has competed at Aronimink before, finishing T16th in 2010 and 67th in 2018, and Snedeker has has the putter to succeed at this track, ranking ninth in SGP this season. The greens are so large and complex at Aronimink that putting is very crucial here — all three winners at this course in the new millennium have finished the event top-three in SGP — and Snedeker’s expertise in this department puts him a strong position to make the cut.
