With the UFC off, Brand Risk Promotions 14 takes place this Saturday, May 23, at the Meta Apex. Brand Risk Promotions is a combat sports organization run by popular streamer Adin Ross. Former Heisman Trophy Winner and first-round NFL Draft pick, Johnny Manziel, is headlining this event against influencer Bob Menery in an MMA fight. 

Manziel played in the NFL from 2014 to 2015 and later competed in the CFL from 2018 to 2019. From 2021 to 2022, Manziel played for the Fan Controlled Football League. Since then, Manziel hasn’t competed in athletic competition and has shifted his focus to hosting the “Glory Daze” Podcast. His opponent, Bob Menery, has also never fought and has grown a large social media audience with his comedic sports content.

Two former NBA players, Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson, are facing off in a Heavyweight MMA contest in the co-main event. Beasley, the former No. 2 in the 2008 NBA Draft, went on to have an 11-year career in the league. Lance Stephenson played in the NBA from 2010 to 2022 and last played in the G League for the Iowa Wolves from 2023 to 2024.
