Find out the purse breakdown and payouts for the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club.
The 2026 PGA Championship is the second major championship on the golf calendar this year. After an exciting week at Aronimink Golf Club just outside of Philadelphia, Sunday’s Final Round is set to deliver plenty of drama with a jam-packed leaderboard that offers a great mix of established stars and players looking to break through with a career-changing victory. The PGA Championship awards the winner the Wanamaker Trophy along with a hefty payout. The total purse for the event is a record $20.5 million, up $1.5 million from last year. The winner will claim $3.69 million.
Alex Smalley starts the Final Round with a two-stroke lead over Matti Schmid, Nick Taylor, Jon Rahm, Aaron Rai and Ludvig Aberg. Just one stroke further back is Masters champion Rory McIlroy, along with Xander Schauffele, Patrick Reed and Maverick McNealy. It could be an exciting Sunday with plenty of plot twists since 30 players are within five strokes of the leader. With the difficulty of the course and the pressure of a major, it will be a great round to track and follow throughout this Sunday, May 17.
Here’s how the top-25 will pay out at the end of the tournament. Ties will be evenly divided among the included positions. For example, a four-way tie for fourth would result in the total purse for fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh getting evenly divided between the four players.
