Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for the WBO Heavyweight Championship fight between Fabio Wardley vs. Daniel Dubois.
WBO Heavyweight Champion Fabio Wardley is defending his title against Daniel Dubois at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom, today. Wardley beat Joseph Parker via 11th-round knockout to win the WBO Interim Heavyweight title. Later, Wardley was promoted to WBO Heavyweight Champion after Usyk didn’t defend it. Dubois enters this bout with a 22-3 record and 21 wins by knockout.
Check out my best bet for tonight’s fight between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois.
Dubois is coming off a knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk in July 2025. Before that, Dubois was on a dominant three-fight knockout streak with wins over Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic, and Jarrell Miller in that span. Dubois enters this bout at 28 years and is still among the elite at Heavyweight.
Wardley has an undefeated record of 20-0-1 with 19 knockouts. He has scored three consecutive knockouts since he had a draw against Frazer Clarke in March 2024. In this contest, Wardley and Dubois both are 6’5″ with a 78″ standing reach.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Wardley was a -125 favorite with Dubois being a +100 underdog in this contest. The total rounds are set at 8.5, with the under at -135 and the over at +100.
With 40 total knockouts between Wardley and Dubois, an exciting and entertaining contest should be in store. It would be surprising if this fight went the distance with two heavy hitters. Given his extensive experience in big fights, I give the edge to Dubois in this contest. Previously, Dubois has proven he can bounce back after getting knocked out. Dubois picked up a knockout following each of his first two career losses.
