Ryan Wohl details his best bet for O’Shaquie Foster vs. Raymond Ford, which is the Main Event of tonight’s Matchroom boxing card.
Tonight at the Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas, O’Shaquie Foster is defending his WBC Super Featherweight title against Raymond Ford. Foster is currently in his second reign as WBC Super Featherweight Champion. Overall, this is Foster’s fourth defense of the WBC Super Featherweight title, as he first won the championship in February 2023 and regained the title in November 2024. The Main Card for this event begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on DAZN.
Check out my best bet for O’Shaquie Foster vs. Raymond Ford at tonight’s Matchroom boxing event.
In the last nine years, Foster is 14-1 and last beat Stephen Fulton in December 2025. His opponent, Ford, is 18-1-1 and has won three straight fights since suffering his first career loss to Nick Ball in June 2024. Ford beat Abraham Nova in his previous contest and is currently ranked No. 5 in the Super Featherweight division on BoxRec.
Foster is a -175 favorite with Ford being the underdog at -175 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under for this contest is set at 10.5 rounds, with the over being -575. Foster is -105 to win by decision while Ford is +220 to pick up the victory on the judges’ scorecards.
On paper, Foster has the edge, with a three-inch reach advantage (72″ vs. 69″) and being slightly taller (5’8.5″ vs. 5’7″). This should allow Foster to control the distance while frustrating Ford. Foster is the more experienced fighter in this contest, as this is his sixth world title bout. My favorite play in this fight is taking Foster to win by decision or technical decision at -105. That is because five of his last six and two of his previous eight victories have come by decision.
