Charlie Cummings provides the latest injury update for Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams and his status for Tuesday’s Game 5 against the San Antonio Spurs.
There’s more bad news for the Oklahoma City Thunder coming off a Game 4 loss in the Western Conference Finals. One key contributor is out for Tuesday’s Game 5 against the Spurs, and another is facing an uphill battle to play. Jalen Williams’ availability holds a lot of sway over this game.
— Tim MacMahon (@BannedMacMahon) May 25, 2026OKC’s Jalen Williams is listed as questionable again for Game 5, but the injury designation has been changed from left hamstring soreness to strain.
Ajay Mitchell (soleus) is out again.
Williams, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury, re-injured that same hamstring in Game 3 and was out for most of the game. He also missed Game 4 with that same injury, despite a questionable tag coming into the contest. Oklahoma City changing his injury from soreness to a strain is notable, as it heightens the severity.
Ajay Mitchell will also miss a second straight game with a soleus injury. That takes away at least one key ballhandler who was sorely missed in Game 4, when the Thunder scored a season-low 82 points. Thunder fans will be clinging to hope for Williams’ status up through tipoff tomorrow night.
Stay tuned to DraftKings Network for updates on Williams’ injury status.
