Blake Krass takes you through his 2026 French Open best bets for Saturday 5/30 on both the men’s and women’s side.
The best players in the world are all at Roland-Garros for the 2026 French Open. There have already been shock upsets, and the field seems wide open on both the men’s and women’s side of the tournament. The third round is set to wrap up on Saturday.
These are my French Open best bets to target on DraftKings Sportsbook for the final day of the third round.
Jannik Sinner’s loss in the second round, combined with Carlos Alcaraz’s injury, makes this a wide-open French Open. Someone other than Sinner or Alcaraz will win a major for the first time since 2023. There are so many incredibly talented players in men’s tennis who have never broken through to win a major because they just can’t beat Sinner and Alcaraz. One of those players, who has a real chance to make a run to the final, is Felix Auger-Aliassime. Auger-Aliassime burst onto the scene by making the Wimbledon quarter-finals and the US Open semi-finals in back-to-back majors in 2021 at just 20 years old.
However, Felix Auger-Aliassime went through a tough couple of years where he lost his game. He has worked on finding it again and made it back to the US Open semi-finals last year. He is in the top half of the draw at this year’s Roland-Garros, which is anyone’s to take at the moment. Francisco Cerundolo, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Flavio Cobolli are the three players with the best odds to make the final out of that top half, none of whom have ever made a major final. This is the biggest opportunity of Felix Auger-Aliassime’s career and he is ready to take advantage of it.
Felix Auger-Aliassime should take care of the American Brandon Nakashima handily. Nakashima has never made it past the third round at Roland-Garros and has never made it past the fourth round in a major. He is a better hardcourt player, making all four of his career ATP Tour finals on that surface. These two have only played each other once before, and Auger-Aliassime took care of business in straight sets in that match. Auger-Aliassime should meet the moment and win this match by at least six games.
This is a great battle between the experienced Naomi Osaka and the young star Iva Jovic. Osaka has revived her career after it seemed like the four-time major winner might never play tennis again. However, Osaka has never been a great clay player. All four of her major wins have come on hardcourt, and she has never made it past the third round at Roland-Garros. In fact, all 13 of her WTA Tour finals have come on hardcourt.
Iva Jovic also prefers the hardcourt, but she has proven herself on clay. Her final ITF Circuit title before turning pro came on clay. She has also had some solid showings on clay this season, including making it to the semi-finals in Charleston. Jovic has also been dominant through her first two matches here at Roland-Garros. Osaka has had a bit of a tougher time, being forced into two tiebreaks already. Iva Jovic should use her youth to her experience in this hot Paris weather, just like Joao Fonseca did on Friday.
