It was not the best season for Crystal Palace. For a time, they looked to be one of the teams in the crowded relegation battle. However, they have gained some positive momentum down the stretch. They now sit in 13th place, significantly clear of the relegation zone. In fact, Palace have two games in hand in comparison to seventh-place Bournemouth. If they win both, they would be level on points for the final European place. Crystal Palace have a chance to go on a run down the stretch and play their way into European football again next season. Not to mention, they are in the midst of a fight to win the Europa Conference League this season, securing their place in the semifinals last week.

My best bet is for Crystal Palace to cover the 0.5-goal spread. Crystal Palace have been a massive thorn in Liverpool’s side over the last couple of seasons. During the 2025 calendar year, these clubs faced off four times, and Liverpool did not win once. They played to a draw in their second Premier League meeting last year. To start this season, Crystal Palace defeated Liverpool for the Community Shield. Since then, the Eagles have defeated the Reds in their first Premier League meeting and knocked them out of the EFL Cup. Palace have gone unbeaten over their last four Premier League meetings and should keep that solid run going in this matchup. Liverpool will be without Hugo Ekitike, and will be starting third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman. That will make it much harder for them to score and to keep a clean sheet.
