Alex Hunter breaks down his favorite WNBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s three-game slate.
On the menu for Monday is a three-game WNBA slate. Below, I have featured three of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for these contests on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Bueckers (probable, ankle) is expected to return tonight after missing Saturday’s loss to the Fire and the guard should have no issues hitting multiple treys vs. the Aces. Las Vegas ranks 10th in defensive rating this season and the defending champions have had trouble defending outside shooters, allowing the second-most made three-pointers (9.5) on the third-highest three-point percentage in the league (36.8%).
Bueckers went 2-of-6 from deep when she faced the Aces last month. She is a much improved three-point shooter in her second season in the WNBA. Bueckers is shooting 43% from beyond the arc after shooting 33% in her rookie season. The UConn product has knocked down three treys in back-to-back games and she has finished with multiple makes from deep in 7-of-12 games this season.
This line being this low is strange, but I’m not complaining and confidently backing Miles for over 17.5 points tonight vs. the Fire. Portland ranks 13th in defensive rating this season and in this spot, the Lynx carry the highest implied team total on the slate at 92.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook. Miles is having an incredible rookie season, leading the 10-3 Lynx with 18.6 PPG on 53.5% shooting.
The 23-year-old is on the heels of a career-high 29 points vs. the Aces and she has scored 19+ points in five straight games. Miles is a legitimate MVP candidate – she presents the sixth-best odds to win the award on DraftKings Sportsbook at +2000 – and she should continue to flourish vs. the Fire.
Hamby has hit a wall, scoring just eight and six points in her last two. The veteran has fallen short of 12.5 points in four of her last six and her role has been concerning over this time, garnering a 17.2% usage rate, which ranks just seventh for the Sparks.
Tonight, Hamby is facing the Valkyries, which by no means is a get right spot. Golden State ranks dead last in pace and fifth in defensive rating this season. Plus, the Valkyries are giving up the fewest points in the paint. This is a big red flag for Hamby, as 66% of her points this season have come in the painted area and the 32-year-old’s cold streak very well could continue in this spot.
